Lupin 'Chatelaine Rose Russell' is an elegant, herbaceous perennial prized for its striking vertical spikes of soft rose-pink flowers, each with a subtle creamy-white centre.
This particular strain stands out for its refined pastel tones and classic cottage garden appeal. Blooming in late spring to early summer, it adds vertical interest and romantic colour to borders and mixed plantings.
Growing to a height of about 90–120 cm (3–4 feet), it features deeply divided palmate leaves in a lush green, creating a dense and attractive foliage mound. Like most lupins, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil. Regular deadheading encourages prolonged blooming and prevents self-seeding.
'Chatelaine Rose Russell' is beloved by pollinators such as bees and butterflies and makes an excellent cut flower. With its refined colour palette and graceful form, it pairs beautifully with delphiniums, foxgloves, and other traditional border plants.
